For years we have known that young women in Essex County and the surrounding towns would benefit from an all-girls secondary school. We are thrilled to offer a unique opportunity that has not been available to girls in our community until now with the opening of The Academy at Penguin Hall in September 2016.
The Academy at Penguin Hall is a school designed especially for young women and the ways they learn best. Our students thrive within a joyful, creative, and supportive community that nurtures and challenges them. We unite around the shared mission to educate, enlighten and empower young women to live and to lead exemplary lives. Rooted in the Catholic tradition of education, The Academy is dedicated to educating the whole person – intellectually, physically, socially, spiritually and creatively.
Students at The Academy learn the skills they need to succeed in an atmosphere that supports their intellectual, social, athletic, spiritual and personal growth. Our academic approach focuses on student-centered, teacher-facilitated and interdisciplinary learning that prepares our students not only for college but life beyond academic walls.
We serve students from over 40 communities in an atmosphere that fosters intellectual growth, encourages a deepening of one’s faith and spirituality, and nurtures the unique talents of a diverse student body. Located on 50 acres in Wenham, Massachusetts, The Academy is a welcoming campus that provides an educational home for a vibrant and talented community of students and teachers.
The Academy provides young women with an environment where they can take risks and discover their authentic selves through opportunities in academics, arts, athletics, community, spiritual life and service.
We invite you to visit us and experience The Academy at Penguin Hall.
