What’s your teaching philosophy? I am passionate about fostering connections from cultural, political and global issues with the world of art. An emphasis on the importance and relevance of art in today’s global society is essential. I foster an open and creative environment where all students, of all abilities, have room to grow and expand their craft.
What excites you about The Academy at Penguin Hall? I am truly excited to be joining such an exceptional and passionate group of educators that are dedicated to teach and empower young women. I am also excited to be a part of The Academy’s founding faculty, with opportunity to pursue the most innovative practices, and to push educational boundaries to transform the way young women see the world.
Share something unique about yourself. I am a painter and photographer; I show my work in galleries along the North Shore. I am also a certified yoga instructor, and am excited to bring yoga and related philosophies to my classroom. When not teaching art, I love to rock climb, ski, snowboard, fish, hike, practice yoga, play music, and, of course, partake in some art museum trips.
