What’s your teaching philosophy?
I believe in learning through doing- you have to get your hands dirty. The challenge of making connections between things that, on the surface, may first seem unrelated is a fun way to dig to the root of the subject at hand. I want the students to experience and appreciate math as it appears in the world around them.
What excites you about The Academy at Penguin Hall?
I am eager to be a part of a team that encourages teachers and students alike to pursue their passions, and works together to create an environment for learning, growth, and exploration. Being a part of a founding faculty is a unique adventure and I am excited that we are all on this voyage together.

I love being outdoors, and once spent a month backpacking and whitewater canoeing in the Yukon Territory.
