Kristen has spent 30 years in public and private education in Massachusetts including in all-girls schools where she has held positions such as teaching, curriculum director, principal and other leadership roles. Her focus throughout her career has been on the correlation between relationships and student success. She believes that every student deserves to be seen, heard and valued in school. Kristen feels passionate that providing high school girls with an all girls learning environment and experience, is essential to maintaining and building their confidence, self-esteem, academic success and their female voice. She also maintains that serious learning can be seriously fun!
In the role of Dean of Students, Kristen returns to what she loves most: supporting the academic and social emotional growth of adolescents. She is passionate about working alongside educators who inspire and challenge students as they grow.
Kristen lives in Swampscott where she and her husband John raised two adult daughters. Kristen loves to spend time outside hiking, biking, camping and just enjoying nature. She also has a black lab named Samuel Adams (after the Revolutionary).
She has a B.A. in History from St. Lawrence University and a M.A.T in Curriculum Instruction and Assessment from Boston College.
