Leslie Marchesseault is part of the Admissions Team for The Academy at Penguin Hall and brings more than 25 years of education and admissions excellence to our community. In her role, Leslie assists with all admissions events and student outreach and supports our applicants through the entire admissions process. In addition, Leslie coordinates family tours, Shadow Days and interviews for prospective students.
Prior to joining Penguin Hall, Leslie served the Glen Urquhart School (GUS) in Beverly, Massachusetts as Admissions Director for 21 years. During her tenure, Ms. Leslie also held positions as the Director of Summer Programs and as a classroom teacher. Leslie also started the six-week GAIN@GUS free summer academic enrichment program for students from Beverly and Lynn in grades 4-7. Earlier in her career, she taught at the elementary school level and served as a Preschool Director.
Following her departure from GUS in 2017, Leslie is excited to expand her admissions roots at Penguin Hall; and frequently shares her joy for our vibrant community, and the supportive spirit of our teachers, students and staff. During her free time, she volunteers at her mother’s assisted living home, enjoys baking, and is a lover of reading, especially mystery novels.
Leslie holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and completed her master’s work in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Rhode Island.
