Environmental Science

Prerequisite: Biology
This course explores the interrelationships of biological, chemical, physical, and environmental factors and how they influence social, ethical, and economic issues. Activities, projects, and class discussions concentrate on the causes, consequences, and the possible solutions of environmental problems on a local and global scale. Topics may include ecosystems, renewable and nonrenewable resources, water quality, food resources, conservation biology, and population studies.
