Financial Literacy

Prerequisite: Algebra II
We all make many personal financial decisions that have a lasting impact on our lives. This course will help you develop the financial literacy tools and mathematical skills you need in order in order to build the life you want. This course will focus on four main areas: financial responsibility and decision-making, income and careers, spending and credit, and saving and investing. Students will develop and practice the research and mathematical skills needed to make informed real-world personal finance decisions. Students will make financial plans, develop budgets, consider important purchases, learn about wages, taxes, bank accounts, insurance, loans, and investments. This real-world, activities-based course will help you gain the skills you need to implement a life-long plan for financial success.
