Music Theory I

Prerequisite: Foundations of Music
This introductory course is a study of the musical practices and possibilities in various music fields such as composition and performance. Students will learn about topics such as acoustics, music notation, rhythm, tempo, aural skills, scales, sight reading, and an introduction to basic keyboard/piano concepts. While this course is aimed towards beginners in music studies, this course is also a great way for students who are vocalists, instrumentalists, and/or musical thespians to reinforce and strengthen their skills.
