How does the APH teaching philosophy look in your classroom?
A great classroom is one filled with community, debate, and introspection. Also, while critical and analytical reasoning are needed for a successful classroom, equally as important is an environment where each student feels comfortable enough to allow themselves an opportunity to learn. It’s important to bear in mind that teenagers are especially vulnerable towards mental health obstacles, so equity is something that I am passionate about.
What excites you about The Academy at Penguin Hall?
Being a part of the community! I am excited to work with the students and to help them realize their visions. I am also excited to work with the staff and build relationships.

People always tell me I have a lot of “old man” qualities: I am an avid chess player and movie snob.
