Middle School Girls are invited to Join the APH Girls on The Run

The Academy at Penguin Hall is excited to announce our inaugural season of Heart & Sole, a Girls on the Run program designed specifically for girls in grades 6th-8th.  Heart & Sole creates a positive, structured space for middle school girls to learn about themselves, explore new ideas, cultivate empathy, strengthen connections and develop life skills that will help them as they move through adolescence and beyond.

The Heart & Sole curriculum is rich with themes girls can relate to, addressing the whole girl—body, brain, heart, spirit and social connection—and building important life skills such as team building, developing a support system, boundary setting, decision making, asking for and providing help and more.

The APH Girls on the Run Program inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.  To register, please visit: www.girlsontherunboston.org.

The season begins early April, and ends in June with a celebratory 5K.  The team meets twice weekly, to learn, share, and move! Every practice begins with a healthy snack, and ends with a team cheer.
