Penguin Hall and Wenham Council on Aging (COA) Announce Inaugural “Song and Supper” Celebration

APH Students and Wenham Seniors to Come Together for a Night of Food and Holiday Caroling

WENHAM, Mass., December 2, 2019 — The Academy at Penguin Hall (APH) and the the Wenham Council on Aging (COA) today announced APH students and Wenham COA members will come together to enjoy a “Song and Supper” Holiday Celebration at Penguin Hall. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in the Penguin Hall Bistro.

APH students and volunteers will donate their time to help prepare and serve a full “family-style” dinner for COA members. Following dinner, students from APH Music Department’s “Ruby Slippers” will perform a series of holiday music with COA guests, as well as a sneak peak of selections from their upcoming Holiday Concert, to be held on December 13, 2019 at Gordon College Chapel.

Wenham Council on Aging Director Jim Reynolds says the “Song and Supper” event is a wonderful opportunity for COA seniors to celebrate the start of the holiday season. “We are so grateful to be included in the “Song and Supper” Celebration, as news of the event has ignited the holiday spirit for many of COA’s members. We want to thank Penguin Hall students for their hospitality, and for sharing their time and talent with Wenham residents.”

APH President Molly Martins says the “Song and Supper” Holiday Celebration is another testimonial to Penguin Hall’s mission to give back to the Wenham community. “Our commitment to maintaining close partnerships with neighbors and fellow community members is woven into our school’s philosophy of continued kindness and service,” President Martins said. “We are delighted to host the Wenham COA and look forward to continuing the “Song and Supper” Holiday Celebration for years to come.”
